To calculate the power consumption of an LED, you need to know the LED’s voltage (in volts) and current (in amperes). The power is calculated by multiplying the voltage and current, and the result is the power consumption of the LED in watts. The human body can be considered as a resistor, and current (whether high or low) requires a potential difference to flow through it.

The typical value of potential difference that our body can tolerate is around 50-60 volts. So, electric shocks occur due to the potential difference rather than the magnitude of the current. You might wonder about electric fly swatters that have voltages in the thousands, would they cause electric shocks?
