Series H outside street lights for Shang Garden Community
This project is located in the Shang Garden residential area, and the client wishes to achieve maximum energy efficiency. Currently, the existing fixtures are 200W halogen lamps, but most of the roads are 7 meters wide. After calculations, ZGSM has determined that 100W outside street lights are sufficient to illuminate these areas, including the roads and parking lots. In order to further reduce energy consumption, we suggest the client to lower the wattage of the lights during late night hours when there is less vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
As a result, we have decided on a lighting schedule where the lights will be at 100% brightness for the first four hours, followed by 50% brightness for the next four hours, and finally 30% brightness for the remaining hours. Through calculations, it is estimated that the client can achieve around 70% energy savings using this approach. The saved electricity significantly shortens the project’s payback period. Both the client and the residents are highly satisfied with this solution.
