Series H solar street lighting system for highway road lighting in Mexico

Country road lighting project finished in 2016 is a sucess solar powered street lighting application. We use 65W LED street lights with 200W battery panels and 100AH(@24V) batteries. In the case of timer dimming, it may meet the roadway lighting requirements for 4 consecutive days. For this road in the mountains, the application of solar energy can be said to be a successful case, which not only saves energy consumption, but also is very convenient to install. Customers are very satisfied with this zero emission, high illumination and high uniformity solution.

Solar LED street lights are lights made of a crystalline silicon PV panel (power supply), smart controller, lithium or lead-acid battery (stock power), higher LED source, and other components. It can be divided into split LED solar powered street lights and all-in-one LED solar street lights. A special PIR sensor can provide smart street lighting control capabilities or multi-function extension.

PV Panels are constructed of a semiconductor material such as silicon, as well as phosphorous and boron, which provide conductivity inside the cell and allow electrons to travel. The electrons flow across the cell and into the electrical circuit connecting to the solar panel when they are triggered by the sunlight’s energy.

Every day, electrical energy is stored in the battery, and part of it is utilized to power the light at night.
