Series L streetlight LED on urabn main road

The project is located in Kota Seriemas, and the municipal authorities plan to replace the traditional lighting fixtures. Based on the provided photos, we recommended the LMB streetlight LED for decorative poles and the H series streetlight LED for regular poles. The customer found this solution cost-effective and practical as it eliminates the need for renovating the existing fixtures. Finally, I conducted lighting simulations based on the road width, pole height, and the customer’s desired lighting levels to ensure compliance with lighting requirements.

The nighttime lighting effects confirmed the viability of our proposed solution, as it provided high visibility while avoiding excessive illumination. Additionally, the design of the L series streetlights aligns well with the pole aesthetics.

Over-illumination refers to the excessive brightness of light beyond what is necessary. This condition is primarily caused by the wasteful and unnecessary use of energy. The excessive illumination has negative impacts on human health as it disrupts the biological clock and circadian rhythms, potentially leading to disruptions in hormone regulation, headaches, fatigue, and anxiety, among other issues. Additionally, over-illumination can result in light reflecting into living spaces, affecting sleep quality and causing sleep disorders.

Apart from its effects on human health, over-illumination also leads to increased energy consumption. It causes unnecessary wastage of energy, contributing to higher energy expenses. Furthermore, over-illumination contributes to light pollution in the sky, disrupting the observation of dark skies and visibility of stars. These factors have detrimental effects on the ecological environment.
