LED floodlights, also known as outdoor LED spotlights, LED projectors, led stadium lights, and led field lights, are large-area lighting devices that are used outdoors.

Some LED floodlights can be dimmed, but not all of them. You must verify the product specifications to see whether it is dimmable. Please do not use any dimmer with led floodlights if they are not dimmable, or else they will be burnt out. There are three kinds of dimmable options: PWM dimmable, 0/1-10V dimmable, and DALI dimmable. If you want to dim the lights, you must use these dimmable flood light fixtures.

LED chips or LED drivers (power supply) are primarily responsible for the flickering/flashing of LED lights, and LED floodlights are no exception.
First, the LED chip quality. Normal 1W led chips can tolerate 280-300mA of current and 3.0 to 3.4V of voltage. If you utilize low-quality LED chips, the LED driving power specifications will not be reached. When LED chips are exposed to high currents, they will flicker. In extreme circumstances, the gold wire or copper wire included in the chips will be burnt, resulting in the chips failing to illuminate.
Second, is the issue with the LED driver. The LED flood light flashes on and off because the electrolytic capacity inside the power supply is inadequate and the output current and voltage of the lighting system cannot be regulated consistently.
Third, the LED floodlight’s temperature is too high. Typically, this kind of light is seen in LED flood light fixtures with an integrated power supply. If the driver has an over-temperature protection function and the material heat dissipation performance of the lamp does not meet the requirements, the driver’s over-temperature protection will activate and there will be flickering. For instance, if a 20W floodlight housing is used to assemble a 30W lamp, the heat dissipation will be insufficient for the lamp to function properly.
The floodlight is flooded, fourth. Floodlights are often used outside; if the waterproofing is inadequate, water intrusion is likely to occur. Once water is present, the LED light beads may corrode and shatter. Consequently, flashing develops.

Modular design LED Flood Light

DOB driverless Led flood lights

“DOB” is an acronym for “Driver on board,” which indicates that the board’s power supply is present. The so-called DOB led floodlights to incorporate the AC power supply and led chips on the PCB simultaneously. Also known as driverless AC LED floodlights. This luminaire has the lowest price, but its quality is inferior to that of floodlights with constant current driving. In addition, the input voltage of the majority of DOB Flood lights is limited to 220-240VAC, and the power factor is typically between 0.5 and 0.6. Non-developed markets in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and South America. This kind of lighting is unsuitable for commercial and industrial applications and locations with stringent quality standards.

Explosion-proof flood LED light

It refers to a floodlight used in hazardous environments where combustible gases and dust are present and can prevent arcs, sparks, and high temperatures created inside the lamp from igniting combustible gases and dust in the surrounding environment, so as to fulfill explosion-proof criteria. It is a particular kind of lamp whose degree of protection exceeds that of normal floodlights. Suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor activities and construction sites, including flammable and explosive environments, oil fields, offshore oil platforms, ships, metallurgy, and petrochemicals, among others.
